A state of natural disaster has been declared by Head of Usora Municipality, Zvonimir Andjelic, after last night's severe weather, said the Civil Protection Administration (FUCZ) of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) entity.

Due to last night's heavy rainfall and thunderstorms, the rivers, streams and drains in this Municipality flooded the surrounding area, causing floods to road infrastructure, houses, private businesses and agricultural lands.

The road traffic has been severed on some 10 local roads and 30 family and business premises have been flooded.

The biggest damage was suffered by the road infrastructure where several bridges were partially or completely destroyed, as well as roads that have been eroded by the surface waters. Many trees and power lines have also fallen across the roads in the Municipality.

Agricultural land was also heavily hit by floods which destroyed the crops, moved masses of land and caused animals to die.

The state of natural disaster has been declared in the entire Usora Municipality and all administrative bodies, organizations, legal entities and other institutions have been ordered to make all available resources available to the civil protection headquarters for the sake of protection of material goods and human life.
