RS PM: Bosnian institutions unprepared for migrants

The Republika Srpska (RS) entity Prime Minister Zeljka Cvijanovic said that Bosnia and Herzegovina’s institutions were absolutely unprepared for the arrival of migrants in the country.

“Statements by certain members of Bosnia’s Council of Ministers that they were well-organized, sound ridiculous and irritating, to say the least,” Cvijanovic said. “The citizens are upset and they are wondering when the problem will be resolved because it brings many housing, health and security risks with itself.”

Commenting the announcements that the EU will assist Bosnia to cope with the ever increasing number of migrants, Cvijanovic said that the EU could only help by opening their own borders and accepting the migrants, because that is where they are heading.

“Every other help is meaningless. We don’t have the conditions to house them,” Cvijanovic concluded.
