Prime Minister of the Republika Srpska (RS) entity Zeljka Cvijanovic said she was convinced in her election victory and that she would continue working with citizens as she is doing now – without false promises.

Cvijanovic, who will run in the October election for the President of the RS, Bosnia's semi-autonomous, Serb-dominated entity, as a candidate of the currently ruling Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), said she would not narrow down her work to the election campaign.

“We created the plan of movement which we achieved. We also have the plan of movement for the upcoming period and we will make it, and it includes certain measures for this year, our social partners know that just like they know this is not a campaign and that I would do the same if I were not a candidate,” said Cvijanovic.

The citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina will cast their vote in the 2018 general election on October 7 and will elect members of the Bosnia's tripartite Presidency, entity presidents, as well as the members of the state, entity and cantonal parliaments.

Speaking for the Radio Television of the RS (RTRS), the entity PM accused the opposition of trying to block the entity institutions, assessing that their election campaign started in 2014.

“We never gave in and allowed that institutions stopped working. Why was that the opposition's goal if they love the RS so much and if they nominate for important positions in the RS,” concluded Cvijanovic, whose main opponent in the election will be the opposition leader, President of the Serb Democratic Party (SDS) Vukota Govedarica.

As a future President of the RS she would be working for a stronger, better and more stable RS, Cvijanovic concluded.
