Bosnian national team's player, 19-year-old Dzanan Musa was selected by the National Basketball Association's (NBA) Brooklyn Nets with the 29th overall pick in the NBA draft on Thursday.

Musa tweeted right after the selection he was “excited and thankful” to become a part of the NBA team, saying this was his “dream come true.” The Brooklyn Nets wished him a warm welcome on their official Twitter. Besides Musa, the team also selected Latvian professional basketball player Rodions Kurucs.

The Bosnian player spent the last three seasons playing for Croatian League's KK Cedevita, leading them to the championship scoring the average of 13.3 points and shooting 46.2 percent from the field in 30 league games.

The NBA draft is an annual event in which the league teams can draft players eligible and wishing to join the league. The competition typically includes college basketball players but also international players eligible to be drafted. Besides Slovenia's Luka Doncic, Dzanan Musa was the only player from the region who took part in the 2018 NBA draft.
