Bosnia’s Border Police officers discovered 10.9 kilograms of a narcotic drug ‘speed’ hidden in a vehicle Skoda Octavia, at the Brod international border crossing.

The car was registered to a Bosnian citizen whose initials are T.S., and the drug was hidden in the car’s fuel tank, divided into 10 packets. T.S. was apprehended on suspicion of attempting to illicitly sell the said narcotic drug. His car was impounded.

A detailed inspection of the car was performed by using the latest endoscopic equipment, provided to the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina under the UN Development Programme’s Countering Illicit Arms Trafficking (CIAT) Project, sponsored by the German Federal Police.

The endoscope used by the Border Police allows for an optical inspection of the hard-to-reach interior of the vehicle.
