Minister: RS authorities preparing incidents for election

Anadolija

RS authorities are “preparing serious incidents for the October general election,” said Bosnia’s Security Minister during Tuesday press conference.

“The (RS) authorities are preparing serious incidents in order to psychologically break the city of Banjaluka. These are reliable information. My message to Banjaluka residents is not to be afraid,” Mektic said. “We have intel that the authorities are preparing a lynching atmosphere.”

According to him, the RS authorities are preparing to bring a number of alleged criminals to Banjaluka to spread fear among residents.

“No one feels safe in Banjaluka any more. (Republika Srpska entity President) Milorad Dodik who has countless photos of him on American aircraft carriers, calls people foreign agents,” Mektic added.

The Minister reiterated that the RS authorities are allegedly creating a lynching atmosphere which would later be enforced by alleged criminals. He also said that the RS authorities have allegedly targeted Banjaluka because they feel they lost the support of Banjaluka residents.

“This can’t go on and it must stop. The people are scared by what’s happening here,” Mektic concluded.

The press conference was held amid the attack against Vladimir Kovacevic, Bijeljina based BN TV’s reporter who was attacked Sunday night in front of his apartment building by two unknown individuals who beat him with expandable batons. Kovacevic was later admitted to hospital where doctors treated his injuries.
