President Aleksandar Vucic told an investment forum on Friday that Serbia has gotten support from Albania and Bosnia-Herzegovina for the creation of a single Balkan market.

“Serbia wants fewer economy barriers and more roads and railways which is why we suggested the creation of a single market (in the Balkans). That idea already has the support of Albania and Bosnia-Herzegovina,” Vucic told the meeting with Nordic investors in Belgrade.

He said that the idea, which he hopes will be realized in the next five to 10 years, would cut costs by more than seven percent and help make the region more attractive to investors.

The Serbian president called Nordic business people to continue investing in the country and the region and increase their investments from 655 million Euros in 2017 to the expected 700 million this year.
