Police officers seized falsified Czech passports and ID cards that were used by two Turkish nationals at the Sarajevo International Airport, the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina said on Monday.

The police discovered their identity during the control of their personal belongings.

Two citizens of the Republic of Turkey arrived in Sarajevo from Istanbul and were returned to their initial destination at the order of the Sarajevo Canton's competent prosecutor.

A day before, the Border Police found three foreigners using falsified documents of Italy at the northern Brod border crossing.

They were found on a bus operating between Sarajevo and the German city of Dortmund.

According to the statements they gave to the police, the three persons were Iranian nationals. They possessed no other document that would confirm their identity.

Following the police control, they were sent to Bosnia's Service for Foreigners’ Affairs.
