Art school students have painted the walls of a playroom in a newly reconstructed migrant shelter in the north-western town of Bihac to make the migrant children moving in the building feel like home.

The abandoned building of old student dormitory Borici which for months served as an improvised shelter for the migrants staying in the north-western city of Bihac, has now turned into their temporary home to protect them from winter and cold weather.

The first migrant families started moving into their new accommodation, which has been reconstructed and equipped with the financial support of the European Union (EU), the International Organisation for Migrations (IOM) and the US Agency for International Development (USAID), said the EU Delegation to Bosnia.

To make the migrant children feel like home, the students of Bihac art school painted the walls of a room intended for a play area and space for socialising.
