High air pollution recorded in five Bosnian towns

Five Bosnian towns including the capital of Sarajevo recorded high air pollution Monday morning, according to air quality index measured by 'Eko Akcija' non-profit association.

The air pollution in Gorazde, Sarajevo, Ilijas, Kakanj and Zenica reached the level which may increase symptoms and intensity of health conditions with persons suffering from heart and respiratory diseases.

For the past few years, the official measurements exposed Sarajevo as one of the most polluted capital cities in the region and Europe.
