Bosnia and Tanzania establish diplomatic relations

Tanzania became 174th country to establish diplomatic relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Bosnia’s Foreign Ministry said the signing ceremony was held, on Friday, in the Office of Bosnia’s Mission to the UN between Bosnia’s permanent representative Ivica Dronjic and the Permanent representative of Tanzania to the UN, Modest Jonathan Mero, thus officially establishing the relations between the two countries.

The United Republic of Tanzania is an east-African country from the Great Lakes area. Its population is some 45 million and covers nearly one million kilometres of surface area.

Most of the population is Christian (61 percent) while Muslims make up for 35 percent of the population. Its capital is Dodoma, and the largest city is Dar es Salam.
