In the hours leading up to the final verdict against former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic, the US channel PBS will premiere a documentary about the trial of another wartime Serb leader who is awaiting his final sentence for the atrocities committed in the country, Ratko Mladic.

Mladic, 76, also known as the ‘Butcher of Bosnia’, is appealing the life sentence he received in November 2017 from the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia for an array of war crimes, most of all for the ethnic cleansing of Bosniaks and Croats during the 1992-1995 war in Bosnia and for involvement in the 1995 Srebrenica genocide.

CNN’s Christiane Amanpour spoke to Henry Singer, co-director of the documentary “The Trial of Ratko Mladic”. The film follows the four-year trial and speaks about all of the charges against Mladic and Karadzic.
