Bosnian NBA star Jusuf Nurkic suffered on Monday a severe leg injury during the game of his Portland Trail Blazers against Brooklyn Nets, which kicks him out of the floor for the rest of the season.

NBA's official website confirmed that the Bosnian will not take part in the playoffs and could be ready by the start of the next season.

“The Blazers big man was attempting to tip in a teammate's missed shot when he came down awkwardly in traffic, causing his leg to bend between the knee and ankle. He finished the game with 32 points, 16 rebounds, five assists, four blocks and two steals,” said NBA.

Nurkic's teammates and players of other NBA teams sent out messages of support through social networks, wishing him a quick recovery.
