Bosnia's Service for Foreigners' Affairs took measures to expel eight illegal migrants from the country. The foreigners were detained in the Immigration Centre until their extradition.

The Service for Foreigners’ Affairs acted in cooperation with the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Internal Affairs on April 29 and raided a hostel in Sarajevo where the migrants who, according to the police, disturbing public peace and order were accommodated.

Three foreigners originating from Algeria were subjected to expulsion measures and detained until their deportation.

Two days earlier, the same authority issued a measure of expelling an illegal Palestinian national, who was detained in the Immigration Centre as well.

Four more foreigners, two Algerians and two Libyans, were detained in the westernmost Bosnian region, the Una-Sana Canton, for unauthorised entry on private property.

The Service for Foreigners’ Affairs said it would increase the surveillance and control of the foreigners in the country in the upcoming period.
