Prosecutors in Kosovo have issued an international warrant for the arrest of Kosovo Serb politician Milan Radoicic who is suspected of involvement in the murder of Kosovo Serb opposition leader Oliver Ivanovic, the KoSSev news portal reported quoting a report by Pristina daily Koha.

Radoicic’s lawyer Zika Jovanovic told KoSSev by phone that he had not been informed about the arrest warrant while Radoicic told the portal to ask the prosecutor because he also had not been informed.

The Special Prosecution in Pristina issued the arrest warrant for Serb List deputy leader Radoicic following an investigation and his refusal to appear before the prosecutor investigating the Ivanovic assassination.

The Koha daily reported that Radoicic is thought to be hiding in Serbia. The prosecutor also issued a warrant for another person close to Radoicic, KoSSev said and added that it had not received confirmation that the warrants were issued before Koha reported it.

The portal said that Special Prosecutor Sul Hoxha hung up on its reporters twice, saying that he didn’t hear them well and telling them to call tomorrow.
