In a Tuesday tweet, US actress, activist and former fashion model Mia Farrow remembered her 2007 visit to Srebrenica, the eastern Bosnian town where a genocide took place in 1995.
“It was anhonor for me to meet with some of the mothers and widows of Srebrenica – many are still searching for the remains of their sons and husbands.” one of the tweets said.

Farrow posted photos of her visiting Srebrenica in December 2007 and meeting with the mothers of those killed in the massacre.

She also wrote about her visit to the UN peacekeeping force headquarters there.
“In Srebrenica I visited the UN headquarters for the Dutch peacekeeping force tasked with protecting the people. As we know, they did not do that. On the walls of the now derelict UN building, I saw hideous anti-Muslim drawings and sayings – left by the Dutch force.”
