The medieval town of Pocitelj, in the south of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is often said to be among the most beautiful and picturesque cultural-historical sites in the country. Situated in the southern Herzegovina region, it attracts thousands of visitors every year.

Initially built in the 14th century by Bosnian King Stjepan Tvrtko I, Pocitelj always had significant strategic importance, becoming a target of many conquerors who were passing through these territories over the centuries.

Despite its turbulent past, the town has not lost any of its charm and kept the same, original form.
