The left-leaning Democratic Front (DF) has condemned on Wednesday a statement by former Croatian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Miro Kovac, who said that Bosnia should be set up the way Belgium is - divided into three administrative regions where Bosnian Croats would get one in order to achieve their equality.

The party also slammed Kovac’s statement saying that Croatia was not interfering in internal affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The latest “verbal acrobacy by the new map drawer” should make it clear why Bosnia’s NATO membership is the only right path for the country and why that path is being obstructed, the party said in a statement.

The Democratic Front and its leader, the Bosnain Croat member of the country’s tripartite presidency, are strongly advocating for Bosnia’s NATO membership.

“There is no other solution, just like there is no other country for us than Bosnia and Herzegovina,” the DF statement said.
