Bosnia Presidency Chairman Zeljko Komsic, who is on a two-day visit to London, said there was nothing disputable about his trip, as suggested by Presidency member Milorad Dodik.

Komsic departed to the UK to attend the commemoration for late UK diplomat and former international community's high representative in Bosnia, Lord Paddy Ashdown on Monday, but according to Dodik, his visit was private.

“He is not there on behalf of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and his visit to Great Britain is not on behalf of the Presidency,” stressed Dodik, the Serb member of the State tripartite Presidency.

Dodik, who strongly objects the presence of the Office of the High Representative in the country, also said that Ashdown violated both domestic and international legal acts during his term in Bosnia.

Responding to the Serb leader, Komsic said those words were “inappropriate and undiplomatic.”

“That is not good,” he underlined.

Also, there was nothing disputable with the trip to London, according to Komsic, who explained that the Presidency members are allowed to take the working visits besides the official ones.

“Who knows why he is not fine with my visit to Britain,” Komsic told Fena news agency.

The Presidency Chairman held a series of bilateral meetings during the two-day visit to the UK, discussing mostly the relations of the two countries.

London fully supports Bosnia's road to the NATO and this stance has been confirmed again during those meetings, said Komsic.

“I believe this support will be even stronger in the future,” he added.
