British pop star Bryan Ferry will open a new ski season 2019/2020 on Jaahorina Mountain, Olympic Centre 'Jahorina' General Manager Dejan Ljevnajic confirmed for media.

The legendary singer will perform on 7 December, which will mark the beginning of the winter skiing season at the ski resort only kilometres away from the Bosnian capital.

“We are the first mountain in the region to organise a world-scale concert and do a promotion on a global level. We would like everyone to hear about Jahorina and learn about hospitality and ski offer of the centre standing side by side with European ski destinations,” said Ljevnajic.

The organiser's goal is to send out the positive image of Jahorina as a destination with a rich tourist offer and not as a place that would remind of bad events of the 1990s, said the Olympic Centre.
