Bosnian prime minister Denis Zvizdic met in Washington with Deputy Director for Europe at National Security Council John Erath, on Monday, and thanked him for the overall US support and assistance to Bosnia's reform efforts, and in particular for the country's path to NATO and European Union membership.

Zvizdic said the US is Bosnia's most significant foreign partner and that its orientation towards freedom, democracy and economic prosperity ad well as the Euro-Atlantic integrations is the only right path.

Zvizdic and Eratho agreed that Bosnia's role is to be a factor of stability in the Balkans and that respect for territorial integrity and strengthening of State institutions enables the reforms necessary for the democratization of the society and its prosperity.

Prime minister Zvizdic noted that peace and stability have no alternative and that membership in the European Union and NATO are synonymous for peace and stability, as well as its key priorities.
