Western Balkan leaders will meet on Tuesday in Brussels with European Union foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini during an informal dinner, N1 was told on Monday.

The dinner will be attended by the three members of Bosnia’s Presidency, Zeljko Komsic, Sefik Dzaferovic and Milorad Dodik, as well as Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, North Macedonian PM Zoran Zaev, Albanian PM Edi Rama and the President of Montenegro, Milo Djukanovic.

The meeting will be another occasion to discuss the political developments in the region, try to find solutions to outstanding problems and analyse the achievements made during Mogherini’s mandate.

This will be the first meeting between Mogherini and the leaders of the Balkans after the European Council refused to greenlight the start of the membership negotiation process with Northern Macedonia and Albania.

It will also be the last meeting with the European Commission in this mandate which is supposed to end on December 1.
