Bosnian Serb leader: Migrant crisis look more like a colonisation process

Srna

According to Bosnia's Serb Presidency member, Milorad Dodik, the migrant crisis in the country looks more like a colonisation, than a migrant crisis because the migrants do not seem to wish to go to third countries, but are interested in staying here.

“The migrants and funds the EU offers to other countries to house them should stay in the EU. The migrant crisis looks more like a colonisation process to me,” Dodik told Euroblic daily.

He noted that Bosnia has come into a position which he warned against and that now it is unable to bear with the consequences of this crisis.

“Our position that migrants can't be accommodated on the territory of the Serb-dominated Republika Srpska entity remains unchanged,” He added.

According to him, this issue should primarily be resolved within the EU, because the Union opened its southern borders in Greece and Bulgaria, but closed the northern border.

“If the EU closed all its borders, the migrants would remain within the Union which in my eyes looks more like the generator of this problem,” Dodik concluded.
