Helping a man in need is every Muslim's fard (duty) and we must act as our Lord commands us only if we did only that and nothing else, Bosnia's Grand Mufti Husein Kavazovic said after the Friday prayer when talking about the migrants in the country.

Helping a man in need is every Muslim's fard (duty) and we must act as our Lord commands us only if we did only that and nothing else, Bosnia's Grand Mufti Husein Kavazovic said after the Friday prayer when talking about the migrants in the country.

“As we pray here, today, thousands of hungry and naked people with no roofs over their heads are walking by us. Women and children left to fend for themselves and fight off human traffickers are also among them. I'm not talking about our past suffering which was a temptation to those who witnessed it. These mujahirs (Muslim immigrants), women and children are our temptation, a test to our maturity in the following of God's path and the path of his Prophet,” Kavazovic said.

Helping a man in need is a Fard, Kavazovic stressed, adding that “we must act as our Lord commands us even if we did only that and nothing else.”

He noted that this is an “opportunity for our society to heal morally and to be guided by humane, rather than other goals, to be humans according to God's plan, His responsible subjects on Earth.”
