Representatives of the European Commission (EC) are set to arrive in Bosnian northwestern towns that struggle with the migrant crisis on Monday to discuss the issue with local authorities, learns N1.

Reportedly, the officials of the EC's Directorate-General for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR) and Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations will meet Prime Minister of the Una-Sana Canton (USK), Bihac Mayor Suhret Fazlic and Head of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) Mission in Bosnia Peter Van Der Auweraert.

European Parliament held a heated debate this week on the migrant situation in Bosnia, particularly the northwestern Una-Sana Canton, calling the local authorities to shut down the Vucjak camp due to inadequate conditions.
