USK Interior Minister: Why would Croatia want to ban me from entering?

The Interior Minister of Bosnia’s northwestern Una-Sana Canton, Nermin Kljajic, said he entered Croatia without any problems on Sunday, after media reported the day before that the country would ban him from entering over allegations that he is one of the Bosnian officials encouraging migrants to cross the border to Croatia.

Vecernji List reported on Saturday that Croatia could ban officials from Bosnia and Herzegovina from entering the country because they “encourage migrants to enter Croatia illegally.”

Kljajic confirmed for N1 that he had crossed the border on Sunday.

“We need to see why the Republic of Croatia would forbid us or me from entering because the USK Police never organised a planned transfer of migrants to the territory of the Republic of Croatia. On the other hand, our police administration has information saying that we have 759 migrants whom their police force returned to the territory Bosnia and Herzegovina, specifically in USK,” he said.
