Five new cases in North Macedonia brought the total number of infected in the country to 31, Health Minister Venko Filipce said on Tuesday, the Beta news agency reported.

The minister said that among the five infected, four were medical workers from a private infirmary in the western town of Debar which had been in the quarantine since last Friday.

“The fifth positive is the wife of a patient from Skopje who was diagnosed with coronavirus earlier on Tuesday.
