Serbia reports 54 new COVID-19 cases, 301 in total

Serbia's health authorities stated on Tuesday afternoon that there were 54 new cases of the COVID-19 infection and that currently 310 patients were being treated, 21 of whom were in a critical condition.

Of the 54 newly diagnosed patients, 27 have been admitted to hospital, Health Minister Zlatibor Loncar told a news conference in Belgrade.

To date, 15 patients have been discharged from hospital after having tested negative for the virus.

The first case of COVID-19 in Serbia was officially confirmed on 6 March and to date, three people have died of the disease, a 59-year-old man, an 82-year-old woman and a 60-year-old woman.
