Former home to Bosnian kings, the central town of Jajce sits on the place where two rivers meet in a unique waterfall – rarely seen natural phenomenon.

Besides the stunning nature that surrounds it, Jajce hosts dozens of Bosnia's national monuments which makes it an important part of the country's history.

Built in the 14th century, it used to serve as the capital of the Kingdom of Bosnia. A fortress overlooking Jajce is a living witness of that time.

In 2006, the natural and architectural ensemble of Jajce was put on the UNESCO's tentative list awaiting a potential nomination for the World Heritage list.
