COVID-19 UPDATES: Federation introduces new measures, over 320 new cases in BiH

17:00 Mostar’s University Clinical Centre confirmed one more Covid-19 case in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, on Sunday, the authorities confirmed.

After testing nine more samples, one sample was positive for the new coronavirus, the cantonal Civil Protection headquarters said, adding that the patient is from Siroki Brijeg, in the south of Bosnia.

Ten more samples will be tested at the hospital, they added.

The total number of confirmed cases in Bosnia and Herzegovina is now over 320.

16:00 The Civil Protection Administration of the Bosniak-Croat shared Federation entity amended its previous curfew order on Sunday, loosening it by two hours, but it also introduced an additional measure of face masks.

11:00 Health authorities in Bosnia's Republika Srpska entity confirmed 38 new cases over the past 24 hours, entity Health Minister Alen Seranic said on Sunday morning.

Of the 403 samples tested, 38 came back positive, the Minister in this Serb majority entity said.

“Twenty patients were female, 18 were male,” Seranic added, noting that these are mostly family clusters.

An hour later, Banja Luka Mayor said their city emergency situation HQ decided to prolong the preventive measures for another 14 days, meaning all non-essential businesses will remain closed for another 14 days in this city.
