Bosnia's COVID-19 stats: 30 new patients, two more fatalities, 23 in total

Bosnia’s healthcare authorities confirmed that 30 new patients tested positive for the novel coronavirus by Sunday 7 pm, 27 in the Federation (FBiH) and three in Republika Srpska (RS) entity, bringing the total number to 654. Two COVID-19 patients passed away in Bosnia, 23 in total.

FBiH healthcare authorities have tested 3,300 patients so far, of which 347 tested positive.

“Unfortunately, we recorded one death during the day. It is a woman from Bihac (Bosnia’s northwest), who suffered from a chronic disorder,” said Goran Cerkez, a member of FBiH crisis management group, addressing the daily press conference.

Sebija Izetbegovic, Sarajevo University Clinical Centre general manager, confirmed the second fatality.

RS authorities earlier said that three patient tested positive for the coronavirus in that entity, 307 in total.

Banja Luka, the northern city and administrative centre of Republika Srpska, remains the hotspot in the whole country with 189 confirmed cases.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak in the country, 30 patients have recovered so far.
