Serbia sees five more COVID-19 deaths, reports 263 new patients

Serbia has in the last 24 hours recorded another five deaths caused by COVID-19 and the country’s death toll now stands at 156, the healthcare authorities confirmed on Sunday.

The latest fatalities include two women and three men, epidemiologist Predrag Kon said in a daily press conference of the crisis management staff.

Of 4,365 COVID-19 tests that were performed in the last 24 hours, 263 were positive.

Serbia now has the total of 8,042 confirmed coronavirus infections and 1,182 patients have recovered so far.

The total of 3,044 patients have been hospitalised and 85 were connected to ventilators.

The number of tested patients in Serbia by April 26 is 64,303.
