Bosnia confirms 26 new Covid-19 cases and 7 virus-related deaths over 24 hours

Over the past 24 hours, Bosnian health authorities recorded 26 new cases of Covid-19, 19 of which were confirmed in the Serb-dominated Republika Srpska (RS) entity and 7 in the Bosniak-Croat shared Federation entity. Along with new cases, there were also 7 new virus-related deaths in the country.

After testing 572 samples for the new coronavirus, RS health authorities confirmed its presence in 19 patients – 11 of whom are men and eight are women.

So far, this entity confirmed 1,105 cases of Covid-19, 455 of which have recovered. The RS Health Ministry confirmed that 17,720 people have thus far been tested for SARS-CoV-2.

The FBiH entity tested 649 samples over the past 24 hours, 7 of which came back positive, the FBiH Health Ministry's Crisis Staff said Sunday morning.

According to them, the FBiH tested a total of 22,972 cases so far, 634 of which have recovered.

Currently, this entity has 324 active cases of Covid-19.

When it comes to the fatalities, seven people have died – six from the RS and one from the Federation entity.

The country's Civil Affairs Ministry said that the total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 now stands at 2,117. of this number, 1,106 have recovered and 107 had died.
