Bosnia records 30 new Covid-19 patients, more than half of overall has recovered

Bosnia has recorded 30 new infections with the novel coronavirus over the last 24 hours, 27 in Republika Srpska (RS) and three in Federation (FBiH), the authorities of both semi-autonomous regions confirmed Saturday in their daily press conferences. Republika Srpska has seen another death caused by Covid-19, which brings the country's death toll to 129.

According to the Civil Affairs Ministry, the country's coronavirus tally now stands at 2,267 with more than half of the patients who have recovered, 1,355.

Healthcare authorities in the FBiH have performed 874 coronavirus tests in the last 24 hours (27,065 in total), with three new patients registered in the northern Tuzla Canton, Central Bosnia Canton and Sarajevo Canton.

So far, the region confirmed 1,003 Covid-19 patients. The total of 780 have recovered to date and 37 died.

Twenty-eight patients are hospitalised and none of them is connected to ventilators.

As for RS, its healthcare authorities performed 549 lab tests in the last 24 hours (20,823 in total), with 27 positive outcomes – nine men and 18 women.

The region has confirmed 1,244 Covid-19 patients to date. The total of 559 have recovered and 88 died.

Brcko District, a separate administrative unit in the north, has reported 20 cases. With 16 of those who recovered and four fatalities, the region does not have any active cases at the moment.
