Although Fojnica’s best-known landmark is a 14th-century Franciscan monastery, some may not be aware that the town that lies at a thermal spring has a lot of natural attractions such as the Prokosko Lake and the Kozice waterfalls.

Some 11 kilometres from the town, the mountain creek Kozica cascades down several waterfalls, between five and 20 meters high.

The Kozice waterfalls are not that well-known as it is difficult to get there – one must follow an asphalt road for eight kilometres from Fojnica over the Malkoc picnic area to Vladic vrh and then continue down a three-kilometre-long macadam road to the village of Dragacici.

It may difficult to descend to the foot of the waterfalls, but whoever makes the effort will experience nature in its full form.
