And while the country is recording a drop in the number of new coronavirus infections per day, Bosnia's Armed Forces members are making their contribution in the country's fight against the pandemic and sending their special units to help local communities tackle the situation.
Over the last two days, the special teams of the Atomic-bio-chemical defence unit and medical experts performed disinfection of public facilities in the southern towns of Citluk, Mostar, Jablanica and Konjic.
The priorities were determined by the authorities of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, where the towns are located.
“The Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina have once again proved they possess the capacity, capability and highly trained personnel to perform the most complex tasks, in this case, to prevent the coronavirus spread,” the Armed Forces said.
The statement also said that the Armed Forces' assistance for civil authorities shows a firm commitment to provide all available resources to the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina whenever needed.
