Bosnia reports no new coronavirus related deaths for two straight days

Another 31 Covid-19 patients were reported in Bosnia and Herzegovina over the last 24 hours, the healthcare authorities of the country's two semi-autonomous regions confirmed Saturday in their daily press releases, which brings the country's total to 2,637. For two straight days, the country reported no new fatalities and its death toll remains at 159.

Of 480 lab tests, only eight turned out positive for the novel coronavirus in the Federation (FBiH). The new patients were recorded in the northern Tuzla Canton, the central Zenica-Doboj Canton and Central-Bosnia Canton.

The total of 39,917 samples have been tested to date and the region has confirmed 1,115 Covid-19 patients. 949 have recovered and 39 have died.

Republika Srpska (RS) health authorities performed 357 lab tests over the last 24 hours and recorded the virus presence in 23 patients.

Among the newly reported patients, 14 are women and nine are men.

The region has so far confirmed 1,502 infections. 116 patients have died as a result of Covid-19 and 1,027 have recovered.

The total of 29,722 have been tested for the novel coronavirus in this region.
