Bosnian Covid-19 curve keeps rising with 152 new cases and 2 fatalities

Bosnian health authorities recorded 152 new Covid-19 cases over the past 24 hours, with 42 in the Serb-dominated Republika Srpska (RS) entity and 110 in the Bosniak-Croat shared Federation (FBiH) entity. There were also two fatalities in the FBiH, the authorities said Wednesday.

After testing 411 samples, the RS health authorities confirmed the presence of SARS-COV-2 in 42 persons, 20 men and 22 women.

The FBiH health authorities said they tested 789 persons of which 110 were positive. The entity has 1,127 active cases and the authorities added that two fatalities were reported over the past 24 hours.

The state Civil Affairs Ministry said that Bosnia has had a total of 4,606 confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic in the country, of which 2432 recovered and 188 had died.
