Fifteen COVID-19 deaths in North Macedonia in a single day

The North Macedonia Health Care Ministry said on Thursday that 15 people had died of coronavirus-related ailments over the previous 24 hours, a record high number since the pandemic began.

The previous highest number of deaths was reported on June 29 when 12 people died of coronavirus-related ailments. A press release said that the total number of deaths now stands at 321.  

A total of 1,653 people were tested over the previous 24 hours, including 173 who tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. The number of people who tested positive stands at 6,625. There are 3,556 active cases eight of who are on ventilators.

The Public Health Institute in Skoplje said that 150 more patients recovered bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,748.
