Two Israeli nationals were arrested during Wednesday’s protest in central Belgrade while trying to set up a street barricade, the Serbian state TV (RTS) said on Thursday.

The two men were brought to the Security Intelligence Agency (BIA – the country’s top civilian security agency) following their arrest, it added. The two men were identified only as RL (born 1999 from the Ukraine) and AF (2002 from Kirghistan).

They were arrested during the protest but released following consultations with a deputy public prosecutor and misdemeanor judge. They will be interviewed by BIA agents.
