Bosnia is among a number of Western Balkan countries Hungary has banned travel from on Sunday due to the coronavirus pandemic, with the decision entering into force as of July 15.

According to Hungarian minister Gergely Gulyas, the ban also applies to citizens travelling from Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia and Montenegro.

Hungary also deemed Serbia a high-risk country but not to the same degree. Serbian citizens can enter Hungary, but have to either present two negative coronavirus tests or spend two weeks in quarantine after crossing the border.

The restrictions do not affect transit and freight traffic.
