Bosnian Serb entity Prime Minister Radovan Viskovic tested positive for the new coronavirus, Republika Srpska (RS) authorities said Wednesday. The news comes moments after N1 confirmed that Fadil Novalic, the Federation (FBiH) entity's Prime Minister, was hospitalised in Sarajevo.

“Republika Srpska Prime Minister Radovan Viskovic underwent a PCR test at the Banja Luka University Hospital which came back positive for the presence of SARS-COV-2,” RS Government said.

They noted that the government and the Prime Minister's office will organise all further activities according to the recommendation of the entity Public Health Institute.

All Viskovic's previously scheduled activities and meetings will be cancelled, the statement said.

FBiH Prime Minister hospitalised

The Prime Minister of Bosnia's other entity, the Bosniak-Croat shared FBiH Fadil Novalic was admitted to the pulmonary clinic “Podhrastovi” in Sarajevo, after his condition suddenly deteriorated Wednesday afternoon, N1 learned.

It was determined that his pneumonia had spread to both of his lungs. After he was admitted, he was given therapy and connected to oxygen.
