One of the largest European low-cost airlines, Ryanair, is relaunching its flights from Banja Luka in Bosnia's north to the German city of Munich, the company said on Monday.

After a fourth-month break caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the first Ryanair's flight departed from Banja Luka to Munich on August 1, marking the beginning of the summer 2020 schedule.

“With pleasure, Ryanair is back to work in Banja Luka. We are happy to bring thousands of tourists who will help the strengthening of the regional economy and support thousands of jobs,” said Ryanair communications manager, Olga Pawlonka.

To celebrate its first flights from and to Banja Luka, the company relaunched the sale of tickets with one-way flight cost of 25.99 Euro. The offer will last until October 2020.

“Continuation of the Ryanair flights is good news for us and our citizens. Banja Luka Airport is prepared to welcome the passengers. We're looking forward to our excellent cooperation with Ryanair,” said airport general manager Milan Racic.
