Bosnia reports over 300 new Covid-19 patients, three related deaths

Another 333 cases of infection with the novel coronavirus and three related fatalities were confirmed in Bosnia's two semi-autonomous regions over the last 24 hours, the healthcare authorities confirmed on Saturday.

Of 928 lab tests that were performed in the Federation (FBiH) since the last update, 244 were positive for the coronavirus, bringing the total in this region to 12,007. The total of 117,124 lab tests was performed since the epidemic outbreak.

With two new Covid-19 deaths confirmed in this part of the country, the region's death toll stands at 331. To this date, 8,403 patients have recovered.

Republika Srpska (RS) has recorded a total of 7,257 Covid-19 patients, 89 in the last 24 hours. Its healthcare authorities have performed 585 lab tests since the last update, 63,909 since the epidemic outbreak.

The region's Covid-19 death toll stands at 245, with one death reported in the last 24 hours. The total of 4,254 patients has recovered to date.

Brcko District, a separate administrative unit in the north, has by Friday reported 284 cases of the coronavirus infection, with 18 fatal outcomes and 201 patients who have recovered.

According to official statistics, Bosnia's coronavirus count is nearing 20,000 with nearly 13,000 of patients who have recovered.
