In the last 24 hours 104 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Slovenia, after 3,070 tests, and there have been no fatalities, the government said on Thursday.

Wednesday saw a record number in new cases since the start of the epidemic, 123. To date, Slovenia has confirmed 4,058 cases.

Currently, there are 1,026 active cases and 62 hospitalised patients, including 11 in intensive care, mostly on ventilators.

In the last two weeks, there have been no fatalities. The death toll is 135, according to the Health Ministry.

Over the past ten days, the number of new cases has doubled, including 642 over the past seven days, which is why this afternoon the government and epidemiologists will discuss new measures.
