Another 280 coronavirus cases, five more deaths due to COVID-19 in Bosnia

Another 280 people tested positive for the coronavirus and five people passed away due to COVID-19 in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the past 24 hours, healthcare institutions reported on Thursday.

In Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) region, 1,580 samples were tested and 192 were positive for coronavirus while three people died due to COVID-19.

In the other semi-autonomous entity, Republika Srpska (RS), 88 of the 568 samples tested came back positive and two people passed away due to the disease.

A total of 27,749 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in Bosnia since the beginning of the epidemic and 20,947 have recovered so far.

The COVID-19 death toll is 861.

There are currently 5,941 active coronavirus cases in the country.
