Another 143 coronavirus cases, nine COVID-19 deaths and 256 recoveries in Bosnia

Health authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina reported on Monday a total of 143 new coronavirus cases among the 1,133 samples tested across the country in the previous 24 hours, while 256 more people recovered from COVID-19 and a nine passed away due to the disease.

A total of 28,449 have tested positive for the virus in Bosnia since the beginning of the epidemic and 22,032 of them have recovered so far while there are currently 5,529 active coronavirus cases in the country.

The COVID-19 death toll is now 888.

Of the 606 people tested in Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) region in the past 24 hours, 91 were positive for the coronavirus.

In the other semi-autonomous entity, Republika Srpska (RS), 512 people were tested in the past 24 hours and the results for 52 of them came back positive.

Bosnia’s Brcko District, which does not belong to the entities, recorded no new coronavirus cases.

All nine COVID-19 fatalities that were reported in the country since Sunday occurred in FBiH.
