Bosnia sets new daily coronavirus record with 453 confirmed patients

Bosnia and Herzegovina has confirmed the record daily count of new coronavirus infections, with 453 patients registered in Bosnia's two regions, the Federation (FBiH) and Republika Srpska (RS), and Brcko District, the healthcare authorities said Thursday.

Out of 1,604 lab tests performed in the last 24 hours, the FBIH confirmed 296 new patients. The total number of cases confirmed in this part of the country since the epidemic outbreak is 19,205, of which 15,924 recovered and 574 died, as a consequence of the coronavirus infection.

RS healthcare authorities performed 633 lab tests over the last 24 hours and confirmed 155 new patients. The region has so far reported 10,003 Covid-19 patients, with 318 of those who died and 6,732 those who recovered.

Brcko District, a separate administrative unit in the north, has reported two new infection cases.

According to official data, the country's coronavirus total has nearly reached 30,000 and death toll over 900. Almost 23,000 patients have recovered to date.
