NBA veteran star Vlade Divac has arrived in Sarajevo where he visited recently reopened Olympic Museum.
“Sarajevo is a home town to all of us and it always feels good to be here, together with the staff of the Winter Olympic Games who managed to reconstruct the Olympic museum,” said Serbia-born basketball player, speaking at the historic building honouring the 1984 Winter Olympic Games that took place in the Bosnian capital.
“I come from a small town and this is a message to everyone that they shouldn't forget where they're from. Dreams come true even for those from a small town,” he added.
Divac, originally from Prijepolje, a small town in Serbia's southwest, made an international career becoming one the first European basketball players to transfer to the NBA in the late 1980s.
Among many recognitions, Divac was named one of the Greatest EuroLeague Contributors.
