Heavy rainfall on Friday caused rivers and creeks in the Sarajevo Canton to swell and street drains to clog, causing basements, garages and other objects and streets to flood, authorities said.

Several public and private buildings were flooded and civil protection units as well as firefighters are pumping out water from basements and cleaning street drains.

The municipality of Olovo, north of the Bosnian capital, has declared state of natural disaster. The water level of rivers is returning back to normal on Sunday.
